Skechers India came to us with a very specific ask — and a very short clock.
As part of their high-profile collaboration with Mohun Bagan Super Giant — one of India's most storied football clubs — Skechers needed a batch of branded hard-shell PP trolley bags ready for the team. The bags had to carry the Mohun Bagan identity with precision: correct colourways, accurate branding, premium finish.
The timeline? 10 days, end to end. For a product that requires custom mold sourcing, this is the kind of brief that most manufacturers would politely decline.
This was our first project together. Skechers had never worked with Optima before. We understood exactly what was at stake — not just the bags, but the relationship.

Hard-shell luggage isn't like fabric bags. The mold is everything — and molds take time. Usually.

Hard PP trolleys require a specific injection-mold shell — this isn't an off-the-shelf component. Sourcing the right mold size takes time most manufacturers don't have.
Skechers had a fixed event date for the Mohun Bagan collab. A single day of delay would make the entire order irrelevant.
The branding had to be pixel-precise — Mohun Bagan's green-and-maroon identity and Skechers' brand standards both had to be respected on a three-dimensional hard surface.
This was a first-time engagement — no prior trust, no sample history, no production shortcut.

We immediately escalated mold sourcing to priority status, tapping our existing supplier network to locate and confirm the right PP shell mold within hours — not days.
Our production floor was reorganised around this order, ensuring the mold arrived, was tested, and entered full branding production without any queue delay.
The branding team worked directly from Skechers' brand guidelines to ensure print accuracy on the curved PP shell surface, matching both club and sponsor identity standards.
Full production was completed in 4 days. Bags were packed, quality-checked, and delivered within 3 days of production completing — 7 days total.

Day 1
Brief received — mold sourcing initiated immediately
Skechers briefed us on specs, quantity, branding, and deadline. Within the same day, we activated our mold supplier network to locate the correct PP shell size.
Day 2
Mold confirmed and dispatched to factory
The right mold was confirmed and dispatched on priority to our Delhi factory. Branding artwork was simultaneously prepared and approved by Skechers.
Day 3–4
Full production — shell forming, branding, QC
PP shells were formed, branded with Mohun Bagan × Skechers artwork, hardware fitted, and each unit quality-checked against the approved spec before packing.
Day 5–7
Packed, dispatched, delivered ✓
All units were packed to export standard and delivered to Skechers India within 3 days of production completing — 3 days ahead of their original deadline.
