Start a Bag Brand — Design, Sampling & Production | Optima Bags
We'll Help You Build a Real Brand.
Let's Be Honest With You.
Launching a Bag Brand
A ChatGPT image. A Pinterest board. A photo of a bag you love. A written description. A hand-drawn sketch. Even just a sentence: "I want a premium gym bag for women that doubles as a weekender." That's enough to get started.
At this stage we need your vision, not a spec. We'll build the spec together. Don't worry if you haven't figured out materials, dimensions, or features yet — that's our job.
📋 What you need: Any version of your ideaWe start every brand engagement with a free, no-obligation call. We'll ask about your target customer, where you plan to sell (DTC, wholesale, export), your price point, and what success looks like in Year 1.
This call is also where we're honest with you. If something in your plan doesn't add up — margins too thin, product too complex for your budget, timeline unrealistic — we'll tell you now, not after you've spent money.
📋 Deliverable: Clear scope, timeline, and investment estimateOur design team translates your concept into technical sketches — front, back, side, and base views. We advise on material options based on your price point and market, suggest hardware combinations, and map out all functional features (pockets, padding, carry options).
We also flag anything that looks good in a render but would be expensive or impractical to produce — saving you from discovering this at the sampling stage.
📋 Deliverable: Concept sketches, materials shortlist, design briefThis is the single most important document in your entire brand journey. The tech pack is a complete manufacturing specification — every measurement, material, stitch type, zipper grade, hardware spec, label placement, and construction note written in the language a factory floor reads.
Because we are the factory, our tech packs are built the way we actually produce. There's no translation layer between designer and manufacturer — it's the same team. This is why our first samples are usually near-final.
📋 Deliverable: Complete tech pack, BOM, technical drawingsWe produce your first physical sample in our Delhi factory against the approved tech pack. You'll receive the sample along with an evaluation form — a structured way to review every element so your feedback is complete and actionable.
Most clients require 1–2 sample rounds. Because the tech pack is thorough, there are no "surprise" issues — only refinements. Each revision is documented so nothing is left to memory or interpretation.
📋 Deliverable: Physical sample, evaluation form, revision notesOnce the sample is approved, we move to production. MOQ starts from 100 pieces depending on the product. We handle the full production run in our 25,000 sq ft Kundli factory — with ISO 9001/14001/45001 and SEDEX 4P certification, so your supply chain is audit-ready from day one.
We also help with hang tags, packaging, care labels, and export documentation if you're shipping internationally. When the order ships, your brand is real.

"The first sample came back almost perfect. I've heard horror stories from other founders about 6 rounds of sampling and wasted months — we got to approved in 2 rounds. The tech pack made all the difference."
Lifestyle Brand Founder D2C Bag Brand, UK"I came in with a ChatGPT image and a dream. Pranjal's team walked me through every decision — materials, margin, packaging, export. 4 months later I had 500 units in my warehouse and orders coming in."
First-Time Founder Custom Backpack Brand, USA"What impressed me most was how honest they were upfront. They told me my original design idea would kill my margins, suggested an alternative, and they were completely right. That advice alone was worth the whole engagement."
