For every bag we sell, we fund a meal for a child. We do it through Shubhkarman, a trust in Delhi run by the same family that runs Optima Bags.
This is not a campaign. It is how we have chosen to run our business.
What Shubhkarman is
Shubhkarman means good deeds. The trust began its work in 2019. It shares food, school supplies, time and care with children and families in Delhi, in person.
It was created on the belief of Late Shri Rajesh Kukreja (1969 to 2024). He taught our family that good deeds matter because they come back to you, just as bad deeds do. Today the trust carries on in his memory. You can read his story here.
How Optima Bags is involved
- One bag, one meal. For each bag we sell, we fund a meal for a child through Shubhkarman.
- Regular support. We invest in Shubhkarman's activities through the year, not only at festivals.
- Hands on. Our family helps run the drives and serves at them.
The link goes back a long way. During the pandemic in 2021, Shubhkarman delivered home cooked meals to Covid patients across Delhi with our support.
What this means for your order
You do not pay anything extra. The meal is funded by us, from what we earn on your order.
So when you order 100 custom backpacks for your team, or 25 gift sets for Diwali, children in Delhi eat because of it. If you would like to tell your own team or customers about this, ask us and we will share photos from the drives your order supported.
Join in yourself
Shubhkarman is open to everyone. You can:
- Celebrate a birthday or anniversary by serving a meal
- Give food, clothes or books
- Be part of the next event
