to Sephora Germany.
Every Piece. On Time.

Sephora Deutschland needed a full set of campaign pieces for its Oktoberfest 2026 activation in Munich: a heart-shaped hero bag, a velvet brooch, a hanging charm, a die-cast tag, logo-tag straws, striped bows, hangers and a backstage kimono. One agency brief, one supplier, one landed price. We designed, engineered, hand-finished and air freighted every item to Germany ahead of the campaign date. This page shows how.

The Brief

A Keepsake, Not a Giveaway.

A German brand agency working for Sephora Deutschland sent us a set of campaign reference images and a fixed date. Oktoberfest does not move. The activation ran across a Sephora Styling Lounge at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich, a collaboration with Kinga Mathe, and a wave of creator content. Every guest and creator needed a piece worth photographing, wearing and keeping. The brief asked for one thing above all: the finished pieces had to match the renders exactly. Same silhouette, same pearl border on the charm as on the brooch, same black-and-white gingham, same hand feel. No "close enough".
  • Fixed campaign date. Production, QC and freight planned backward from Munich, with written checkpoints.
  • Eight product types from one supplier. Soft goods, metalware, textile accessories and apparel under a single landed price.
  • Retail-grade finish. Hand-tied bows, pearl trim and bead borders, done individually on our floor.
  • Sephora brand standards. Logo placement, colour matching and packaging checked against the agency's guidelines at each stage.

The usage sheet we supplied with the hero bag. Pearl handle for hand carry, detachable adjustable strap for shoulder or crossbody. Written for the campaign team, not for us.
The Pieces

Eight Items. One Campaign Language.

Every item carries the same three signatures: pearl trim, black satin PU or velvet, and the gingham bow. A guest who received only the brooch still holds a piece of the same collection as the hero bag. Technical detail for each item below.
Made for SEPHORA Deutschland · Oktoberfest 2026
01 · HERO PIECESephora heart-shaped satin PU bag with imitation pearl handle, ruffled edge, gingham bow and hanging heart charm, manufactured by Optima Bags
Heart-Shaped Pearl-Handle Bag The hero piece every creator carried Built 1:1 from the campaign render. The heart silhouette needs a curved gusset that holds its shape empty and full, so we engineered a stiffened panel behind the satin PU face and a ruffled edge that sits flat under a camera flash. Two ways to wear, swapped in seconds.
Outer material Black satin-finish PU (vegan leather), 0.9 mm, matte-lacquer top coat for scratch resistance
Dimensions Approx. 18 × 17 × 6 cm
Handle Imitation pearl bead handle, 10 mm pearls on a steel core with black metal end caps
Strap Detachable, adjustable black PU strap on two D-rings with swivel hooks; shoulder to crossbody length
Closure Top zip, black metal teeth, custom heart-shaped puller
Details Ruffled edge in self material, black-and-white gingham bow hand-tied on each piece, hanging heart charm with pearl border, printed SEPHORA logo on the face
Lining Black polyester twill, one interior slip pocket
Hardware All black nickel-free metal, salt-spray tested 24 hours
02 · WEARABLESephora velvet heart brooch with 3D pearl border and gingham bow, hand-finished by Optima Bags
Velvet Pearl-Border Brooch Pinned to dirndls and vests across the event The brooch had to read as the bag's little sibling. Same heart, same pearl border, same bow. Pearls are stitched by hand around a padded velvet heart, not glued, so they survive a full day of being pinned, unpinned and photographed.
Face Black velvet over foam padding on a stiffened backing board
Size Approx. 6.5 × 6 cm
Border 3D imitation pearl border, 4 mm pearls, hand-stitched, approx. 60 pearls per piece
Accent Mini gingham bow, hand-tied and tacked
Branding SEPHORA in white print on the velvet face
Fastening Black safety-catch bar pin, riveted to the backing
Packing Individually poly-bagged with a backing card
03 · ACCESSORYSephora Oktoberfest hanging heart charm with pearl trim and black metal chain, produced by Optima Bags
Hanging Heart Charm Supplied with the bag and as a standalone gift Part of the hero bag and a gift on its own. The pearl border was sized to match the brooch exactly, so the two pieces sit side by side in a photo without a visible difference. We supplied extra charms for guests who wanted one on their own bag.
Body Padded satin PU heart, double-sided, printed SEPHORA logo
Size Approx. 5 × 4.5 cm excluding chain
Border Imitation pearl edge, 3 mm pearls, hand-stitched
Attachment Black metal chain, 6 cm, with lobster clasp for any D-ring or zip pull
Finish Black nickel-free hardware, matched to the bag
04 · METALWARESephora custom die-cast magnetic heart tag with smooth black finish by Optima Bags
Die-Cast Magnetic Tag The keepsake that outlives the event A heavy little object with a proper snap. Die-cast zinc alloy, tooled for this campaign, with a hidden magnet so it clips to a bag, a lapel or a fridge. This is the piece that sits on a desk for years.
Material Zinc alloy, die-cast in a custom heart tool
Size Approx. 3.5 × 3.2 cm, 3 mm thick
Finish Matte black electroplate, SEPHORA debossed and colour-filled
Fixing Recessed N35 neodymium magnet, epoxy set
Tooling One-time custom die, retained for repeat campaigns
QC Plating adhesion tape test, edge-burr check on every piece
05 · BAR & LOUNGEBlack PP straw with die-cut SEPHORA logo tag, spec sheet with front, side and back views, produced by Optima Bags for the Sephora x Dr. Smusy smoothie bar
PP Straw with Sephora Logo Tag For the Sephora × Dr. Smusy smoothie bar at the lounge Every drink at the lounge was a photo. The straw carries a die-cut SEPHORA tag that follows the lettering outline, no background shape, printed on both sides so it reads from any angle. Black on black, so the wordmark is the only thing you see.
Straw PP (polypropylene), black, 8 mm diameter, 210 mm length, food grade
Tag PP, black, die-cut to the lettering outline, approx. 36 × 7.5 mm
Print SEPHORA in white, front and back
Fixing Split clip on the tag back, snaps onto the straw and holds in a wet cup
Packing 200 pcs per poly bag
Made on Audited partner line under Optima spec and inspection
06 · DECORBlack and white horizontal striped satin ribbon bow with black metal hanging loop, final mock-up by Optima Bags for Sephora Oktoberfest
Striped Satin Bow Hung across the lounge, the rail and the gift wall The Sephora stripe, tied by hand. A double-loop satin bow with long forked tails and a black metal loop at the knot, so it hangs from a hook, a hanger or a gift handle without a pin. One hundred pieces, each tied to the same tail length and checked against the mock-up.
Material Satin ribbon, black and white horizontal stripe
Size Approx. 10 cm wide × 13 cm high
Hardware Black metal loop at the centre knot
Attachment Loop for hanging, no pin or adhesive
Finish Forked ribbon ends, heat-sealed against fraying, hand-tied and pressed
Quantity 100 pieces
07 · RETAIL DISPLAYBlack branded hanger with SEPHORA printed satin ribbon bow holding a Kinga Mathe dirndl vest at the Sephora Styling Lounge, Munich
Branded Hangers For the Kinga Mathe dirndl fitting rail Guests were fitted for Kinga Mathe dirndls at the lounge. The rail needed hangers that belonged to the campaign rather than to the hotel. A black hanger with a black satin ribbon bow tied at the hook, SEPHORA printed in white along the ribbon, so every garment handed over carried the brand before it was even worn.
Material Black hanger with contoured shoulders and notches for straps, black hook
Size Women's garment hanger, sized for dirndl vests and dresses
Branding Black satin ribbon bow tied at the hook, SEPHORA printed in white, one per hanger
Finish Ribbon ends heat-sealed, bows tied by hand to a matching loop size
Packing Paper-sleeved, 10 per carton
08 · APPARELCreator wearing the black satin Sephora backstage kimono in the makeup chair at the Sephora Styling Lounge, Munich
Sephora Backstage Kimono Worn by creators through hair and makeup The kimono is what the creators wore in the Styling Lounge while hair and makeup ran. It shows up in every backstage photo, so it had to look like Sephora, drape well on camera and survive a day of being tied and untied. Black satin, so it reads as a robe on camera and not as a uniform.
Fabric Black satin, 120 gsm, polyester, cut on a full-drape kimono block
Sizing One size, oversized, mid-thigh length, wide dropped sleeves
Construction French seams throughout, self-fabric waist tie with two belt loops
Branding SEPHORA embroidered in white on the back yoke, mini heart woven label at the inside neck

Made on Audited partner cut-and-sew line under Optima spec and QC

Getting It There

A Campaign Piece That Arrives Late Never Existed.

Logistics is part of the product. We quoted one landed price to Munich, held it from first quote to delivery, and ran the freight ourselves. The agency dealt with one supplier and one invoice, not a factory, a forwarder and a customs broker. EU buyers pay 0% import duty on Indian-made goods under the current arrangement, which we handle in the paperwork. No surprise charges at the door.
  • Kundli, HaryanaFinished goods filmed, approved, packed by SKU with a station-by-station packing list for the event team.
  • Delhi AirportExport documentation, HS classification and pre-alert to the German broker, all done in-house.
  • MunichCleared and delivered DDP to the agency's address. Four days door to door.
  • Hotel Bayerischer HofUnboxed and on the rail, in the lounge and on the creators before the first guest arrived.
On the Ground

Live at Sephora's Oktoberfest Activation.

Creators checked into the Bayerischer Hof, were styled in the Sephora lounge, fitted for dirndls by Kinga Mathe and walked out with the collection. This is what the pieces looked like in their hands. Creator content shared from Sephora Deutschland's Oktoberfest 2026 campaign.
What This Means for Your Event

The Same Process, at Your Headcount.

Sephora is a household name. The process behind this campaign is not reserved for one. Our premium event line runs from 30 units, with the same mockups, the same hand finishing and the same video inspection before you pay the balance.

Questions

About This Project, and Yours.

Can you make a set like this for our brand or event?
Yes. Send a reference image, a mood board or two lines describing the piece, plus your event date and headcount. You get a free digital mockup and a landed quote within 24 hours. Signature pieces start at 30 units.
Did Optima make all eight items, or only the bags?
All eight came from Optima under one purchase order. The bag, brooch, charm, tag and bows were made on our own floor. The straws, hangers and kimono were produced on audited partner lines to our tech packs, inspected by our team and shipped in the same consignment.
How did you match the reference images so closely?
Our designers sit metres from the sample room. A shape drawn on Monday goes into pattern on Tuesday and comes back as a physical sample the same week. Each round is compared against the render on a lightbox before it goes to the client, so most pieces are approved in one or two rounds.
What about a campaign with a date only weeks away?
Tell us the date first. Mockups arrive in one to three days, samples the same week, and hand-finished production runs 25 to 35 days depending on detailing. Air freight from Delhi reaches Germany or the USA in 3 to 5 days. For hard deadlines we have delivered in 7 days against a 10-day window.
Can we reuse the tooling for a repeat campaign?
Yes. Custom dies, embroidery files, patterns and tech packs are kept on file. A seasonal repeat or a colourway change skips the development stage and goes straight to sampling.
Who owns the designs and files?
The client. Drawings, tech packs, source files, patterns and artwork transfer once delivered and paid for. NDA on request. We publish no client product without written permission.
