How to choose the right tote
Four choices decide how your tote looks, lasts and costs.
Canvas weight is ounces per square yard. 4 to 5 oz is light and lowest cost, good for events and handouts. 8 to 10 oz keeps its shape for retail and daily carry. 12 oz carries books and groceries.
8 to 10 in mini totes suit gifts and favours. 15 to 17 in totes fit A4 files and books. Jumbo totes suit beach and grocery. Handles of 22 in or longer go over the shoulder.
A gusset gives the bag a flat base for boxes, jars and shoes. Flat totes cost less and pack flat. Pick a zip or hook and loop closure for travel, retail and gifts.
Non-woven polypropylene has the lowest cost per bag. Jute looks natural and stands upright. Recycled cotton and RPET suit sustainability briefs. Our organic cotton uses GOTS certified fabric.

Ordering and price
What is the minimum order for tote bags?
93 styles sell from a single bag. Bulk styles start at 10 to 200 bags, and each listing shows its minimum above the quantity slider. Totes made to your size, fabric or colour start at 100 bags.
Is my logo included in the price?
Yes. The price per bag on each listing includes your logo. Shipping is added at checkout, based on your country and parcel weight.
How do bulk discounts work?
Each listing has price tiers at 1, 10, 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1,000 bags. Type your quantity or move the slider and the price per bag updates. At 1,000 bags you pay up to 42% less per bag than at 1.
Do you offer a better price above 1,000 bags?
Yes. Send your quantity on WhatsApp or email and we quote a factory price within 24 hours. Large runs also qualify for custom fabric colours and sea freight.
Do several colours or designs count as one order?
Yes. Message us the split by colour and design, and we quote one price per bag for the full quantity.
How do I pay?
Online orders check out in USD through PayPal, with buyer protection on every order. Quoted orders pay by bank wire, with a deposit to start and the balance before dispatch. Indian companies get a GST invoice.
Logo and printing
Which logo file should I upload?
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) print sharpest. PNG and JPG files work too, up to 20 MB. Send Pantone codes if colour matters and we match the ink or thread.
Will I see my logo before production?
Yes, twice. The listing shows your logo on the bag as soon as you upload it. After you order, we email a digital proof within 24 hours, and production starts only after you approve it.
Which printing method should I choose?
Screen print suits solid logos in 1 to 4 colours and gives the best price in bulk. DTF suits full colour logos, gradients and photos. Embroidery gives a stitched, premium finish. Add a note with your order and we suggest the method in your proof.
What if the print does not match my proof?
We reprint the affected bags at our cost. Send us photos within 7 days of delivery.
Do you dye totes in my brand colour?
Yes, on orders of 1,000+ bags. Send your Pantone code and we match the fabric. Below 1,000 bags, pick from the colours on each listing.
Production, shipping and samples
How long does production take?
Stock totes with your logo take 10 to 12 days to print and pack after you approve your proof. Totes made to your size, fabric or colour take 20 to 25 days. Shipping time comes on top.
How much does shipping cost?
Checkout shows the exact cost for your country and parcel weight before you pay. One tote by economy courier to the US costs about $30, and the cost per bag falls as the parcel grows. Shipping within India is free.
Which countries do you ship to?
We ship to 30+ countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, most of the EU, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Australia and Japan. Express courier takes 3 to 6 business days.
Do you handle import duties?
For quoted orders, yes. We quote delivered duty paid (DDP), with freight, duties and clearance in one price, so nothing is due at the door. Ask for a DDP quote on WhatsApp or email.
Do you send samples before a bulk order?
Yes. Order a sample with your logo for $150, shipping included. We credit the full $150 on orders of 1,000+ bags. Planning a large program? Ask about our free sample program.
Who makes the bags?
We do. Optima Bags has made bags since 1995 in two factories near Delhi, with 300 people and a SEDEX 4P audited site. You deal with the factory, not a trader.
Do you make custom totes to my design?
Yes. Optima Studio, our in-house design team, works from a sketch, a photo or a sample bag. Custom totes start at 100 bags. Tech packs start at $360, and the fee is credited in full on production.
